Procrastination comes at a low price with the latest releases from the iTunes App Store, each less than one dollar.
There are hundreds of games available to download for the iPhone and iTouch. Here are five of the newest games, each only $0.99. Card Drop for Solitaire FansCard Drop, an app by Kuyi Mobile, is like an extreme version of Solitaire. Cards fall down the screen, and the user must stack them quickly, with the chance to rack up bonuses by making combos. The game has different skill levels for all ranges, and for the highly competitive, there is a scoreboard on their website so users can compete for the all-time high score. Light the Sky with Liberty BoomThis app from Magnate Interactive displays real night-time skyline photos of New York, Boston, Dallas, Miami, Seattle, and more. The user's job is to blow up the rockets before they reach the top of the screen while the crowd cheers them on. However, not all flying objects are rockets. The crowd isn't too happy when the user blows up a plane, blimp, or even a UFO. If users want to see their own city on Liberty Boom, they are invited to send high-quality night shots of the skyline to mycity@libertyboom.com for a chance to be featured in the game. Grab the Vine with Mr. and Mrs. TarzanThis amusing game features a Tarzan who vaguely resembles Elvis in a loin cloth. His goal? To keep the little wife Jane happy. As Tarzan, the user must comply to Jane's every whim and request, braving barriers like bees, snakes, and other jungle dangers. The method of controls for this game is slightly different, but easy to adjust too; mostly because Tarzan automatically runs, and his other actions are in the hands of the user. The graphics are bright and colorful, and with twenty levels, it's sure to provide many hours of entertainment. Save the Earth from InkvadersBased off the doodles in the creator's notebook, this funny and addictive game has the user fighting off the Inkvaders with the hero G (Generic Marine). When the Martians invade, G is on the moon, and must make his way back home to save the human race. Inkvaders features an endurance mode, easy, normal, and hard modes, and the option of selecting tunes from iTunes to use as a soundtrack. Make Music With JounceThe premise of this unique game is much easier to grasp by watching a demo or downloading it. The idea is simple enough; balls fall from the top of the screen, and the user directs them to a goal by placing "bouncers" (thin black rectangles) in strategic positions. Each time a ball hits a bouncer, it creates a different pitch. The levels, and therefore resulting music, can be as simple or complex as the user desires, as it's based on where the bouncers are placed. A creative concept, and quite hypnotizing as well! Cheap Mobile Phone GamesUnfortunately, many games for the iPhone aren't even worth the dollar they charge. Before purchasing, it's best to check out a few reviews and possibly a YouTube demo that will show potential customers how the game functions.
