These three little iPhone, iPod touch games have good graphics and are kid-friendly. They are great to have on hand for the airport and other long waits.

Users of the iPhone are finding out that it has an unexpected benefit – fun and inexpensive games. For a buck or two entertaining games can be downloaded on the itunes site. These games will also play on the iTouch. For good graphics and game play, these little games can’t be beat. Only one warning—all three of these may be addictive!

Run Hamster Run

This brand new iPhone offering has it all, from smooth play to excellent graphics. A cute little hamster must avoid snakes on the loose in his tube. Kids will love the cartoon-like, hand-drawn animation as they steer Herbie down the tubes. The longer the player can stay in the game the faster it goes.

The game is like climbing up the hillside and then sliding down. As soon as the player gets to the bottom they will want to do it again and again. Run Hamster Run is a class act with hand-drawn graphics, original sound and many little extras not normally seen on a little iPhone game.

Doodle Jump

Doodle Jump is counted among the best of the iPhone games. Its simplicity makes it totally addictive. The player tilts the Doodler control left or right as they head up a danger-strewn path filled with a series of broken, moving, vanishing, and exploding platforms. The player picks up jet packs along the way, and avoids such obstacles as black holes, UFOs and monsters. The monsters are killed by jumping on them in a Mario-type move.

Other player's score markers are actually scribbled in the margins, which makes an added challenge. Like Run Hamster Run, this is is a nice game for long trips with kids.

Jelly Car 2

This sequel to last year’s top game is crazy fun, with a squashy car in a jelly-filled world. Reported to be one of the best driving platform games for the iPhone, Jelly Car 2 is a clever puzzle game with the goal being to guide falling parts into matching chutes. Players have reported that Jelly Car 2 is a big improvement over the original, with many new additions.

This sequel comes fully loaded with over 30 new levels and features fun minigames and customizable cars and levels which are bound to please kids and adults alike. Kids will want to play this game again and again.
